PTU: Evening's Tide Tutorial

PTU: Evening's Tide by Karra's Kreative Korner Artist: Keith Garvey I've also included a tutorial for my signature.

You must have working knowledge of Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 or newer

Okay Ready, set, GO!

Open

Kkpaper5

Find a big bold font, and have it spell out “BEACH BABE” (ALL in Caps)

Then Copy and paste it over with kkpaper2.

Now hold down Crtl+A (Select-all)

Then hold down Ctrl+F (Float)

Then hold down Ctrl+Shift+F (Defloat)

Then Click on your TW-Spellbinding Paper7

And lastly hold down Ctrl+Shift+I (Invert)

Now you have the paper cut perfectly overlaying the word art.

Next I apply a gradient Glow to the word art. Be free to choose any colors you like.

Also I added a Constellation effect, using Alien Skin Xenofex 2 filter, to the word art.

If you have it use it, if not don’t worry.

Now off to decorate around the word art.

Open kkpaper2, C/P behind the word art.

Head to your layers tab-->Load/Save Mask-->Load Mask from Disc
From there choose any mask you want or choose the one i used with a circular pattern.
And Click Load

Now you want to Merge group
Using your mouse, mouse over your layer where you had paste your paper at, and right click on your mouse
Next it will pop another option for you, you want to look for "Merge"--> "merge group".
Tada you have a masked layer.

To make the three ring frames- Grab kk_frame2, re-size it to 40%, and C/P it on the far right of the mask, but behind the far right of your word art. Duplicate the frame twice and move them side by side, till you get a three ringed frame.

Now open papers, kkpaper5, kkpaper2, and kkpaper8, paste these behind the frames, (see my signature for example) . And using your magic wand tool again, click the inside of each frame, then click the papers one by one and invert your selections and hit your delete key once.

Next open these elements
Open- kk_sand, re-size to 70%

Open- kk_plank

Open- kk_grass1, re-size to 50%, add D/S

Open- kk_grass2, re-size to 50%, add D/S

Open- kk_splash1

Open- kk_splash2

Open- kk_netting1.

Open- kk_lantern, re-size to 25%, add D/S

Open- kk_bottle, re-size to 25%., apply mirror effect, add D/S

Open- kk_parrots, re-size to 30%, add D/S

Open- kk_netting2, re-size it to 50%, Add D/S

Open-kk_flower3, re-size it 25%, apply mirror effect Add D/S

Open- kk_palm tree, re-size 80%, add D/S

Open- kk_branch, add D/S

Open- kk_compass, re-size to 20%, add D/S

Open- kk_burlap bag, re-size to 40%, add D/S

Open- kk_seashell1, re-size it to 12%, add D/S

Open- kk_starfish2, re-size it to 18%, add D/S

Open- kk_scatter, re-size 60%, add D/S

Open- kk_rock1, re-size to 15%, add D/S, and use image rotate, rotate the rock left.

Open- kk_plant1, re-size it to 25%, add D/S

Open- kk_rock2, re-size it to 10%, add D/S

Open- kk_seashell2, re-size it to 20%, add D/S, and use image rotate, rotate the seashell right.

Now place these elements all around the word art.

Add your tube of choice behind your word art.

Now Add your copyrights of your tube and your license.
Add your name.
And your done.

PTU: Do You Believe in Magic? Tutorial

Check out Soxational kit "Spellbinding," I picked out this kit, because of it's colorful wizards and the elements put together by the lovely Soxie. Even tho it may be an oldie kit she made a long time ago, I love the colors, and wizards. The kit spells out a magical story all on it's own. I even wrote a tutorial using her magical kit. You must have working knowledge of Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 or newer

Okay Ready, Set, GO!

Open

TW-Spellbinding Paper7

Grab the word art I have provided for you.

HERE.

Copy and paste it over TW-Spellbinding Paper7.

Now hold down Crtl+A (Select-all)

Then hold down Ctrl+F (Float)

Then hold down Ctrl+Shift+F (Defloat)

Then Click on your TW-Spellbinding Paper7

And lastly hold down Ctrl+Shift+I (Invert)

Now you have the paper cut perfectly overlaying the word art.

At this point you can either keep your word art change its color if you want.

Or like me, I discarded it.

Next I apply a gradient Glow to my word art. Be free to choose any colors you like.

Open- TW-SB-Cloud, re-size to 80%

Open- TW-SB-Stars5, re-size to 60%

Open- TW-SB-Stars4, re-size to 60%

Open- TW-SB-Stars7, re-size to 40%

Open- TW-SB-Stars6, re-size to 35%

Open- TW-SB-Stars1, C/P over the mask.

Open- TW-SB-Wizard 5, re-size to 60%, apply D/S.

Open- TW-SB-Sparkle 4, re-size to 75%.

Open- TW-SB-Wizard 3, re-size to 35%., apply mirror effect

Open_ TW-SB-Wizard 4, re-size to 40%, apply mirror effect

Now place these elements all around the word art.

Now Add your copyrights of your tube and your license.
Add your name.
And your done.

PTU: Blues Tutorial

You must have working knowledge of Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 or newer

Open a NEW canvas and size it to 650x650.

Open the IBD_Paper9, re-size to 650x 650, and C/P it into your canvas.

Head to your layers tab-->Load/Save Mask-->Load Mask from Disc
From there there choose any mask you want or choose the one i used with a circular pattern.
And Click Load

Now you want to Merge group
Using your mouse, mouse over your layer where you had paste your paper at, and right click on your mouse
Next it will pop another option for you, you want to look for "Merge"--> "merge group".
Tada you have a masked layer.

Next open IBD_Element8 C/P it on top of your masked layer.

Next open IBD_Element16, re-size it to 20%, and remember to re-size your canvas to 650x650, because you are about to use the filter Mura’s Miester, we are going to turn this ball into a shower cluster, locate your “Effects”
If you need instructions on how to use Mura Miester please read on, if not then you can skip this step.
Head to Mura Miester, look for Copies, click that, and it will pop open a option, from there look for your preset menu,
and scroll down until you see the "Shower" option and click that, and hit “ok”. And now you C/P right on the bottom of your mask and butterfly prints.

Open IBD_Element22, re-size to 80%, add drop shadow, and C/P into the center, over your mask and butterfly prints.

Open IBD_Element28, re-size to 40%, add drop shadow, and C/P behind and to the right of the IBD_Element22.

Duplicate IBD_Element28, add your drop shadow, and apply mirror effect to it as well.
And duplicate it once more-resize the orginal to 20% and C/P around the frame if you like.

Open IBD_Element30,re-size it to 80%, add drop shadow, and C/P in front of the flowers but behind the frame. [[see my signature for example]].

Open IBD_Element19, re-size to 70%, add your drop shadow, and C/P between your flowers [[see my signature for example]].

Open IBD_Element61, re-size to 20-23%, add drop shadow, C/P anywhere around your frame to your likings.

Open IBD_Element29, re-size to 30%, add drop shadow, C/P to the left and right of your frame. And using your move tool rotate your right flower slight right.

Open IBD_Element31 re-size it to 15%, add drop shadow, C/P around your flowers but on top of your frame [see my signature for example].

Open IBD_Element7, re-size to 80%, apply your mirror effect, and add your drop shadow, and C/P to the right of your frame.

Open IBD_Element10, re-size to 80%, C/P in front of IBD_Element7 flower, making it look like its raining sparkles.

Open IBD_Element24, re-size to 50%, using your move tool, rotate this bottle all the way to the left, and C/P the bottle just below IBD_Element7 [see my signature for example].

Open IBD_Element23 re-size it to 65%, add drop shadow, also here you will be using your move tool again to rotate.
Rotate the brushes all the way to the left, and C/P over your flowers and below the rim of the frame.[see my signature for example].

Open IBD_Element32, re-size to 20%, add drop shadow, and C/P under the brushes, [see my signature for example].

Now hmmm choose a close up tube, preferably one wearing a blue outfit or dress. And c/p it in front of your frame. [[see my signature for example]].

Now Add your copyrights of your tube and your license.
Add your name.
And your done.

PTU: Island Mistress Tutorial

Summer is finally here, and what better way to remember the summer than to purchase a scrap kit to remind you how much fun you had, or even create signature for yourself, like the one I did, using Island Fun kit designed by LK Designs currently being sold at Designer Scraps.

You must have working knowledge of Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 or newer

Open template, and re-size it to 650x650.

Open LKD_IslandFunTS_sand, C/P into the last layer of the template.
Next using your filter Mura’s Miester, we are going to turn this sand into wallpaper, locate your “Effects”
If you need instructions on how to use Mura Miester please read on, if not then you can skip this step.
Head to Mura Miester, look for Copies, click that, and it will pop open a option, from there look for your preset menu, and scroll down until you see the wallpaper option and click that, and hit “ok”.
Now you have made a sandy wall paper. Next step….
Head to your layers tab-->Load/Save Mask-->Load Mask from Disc
From there there choose any mask you want or choose the one i used with a circular pattern.
And Click Load
Now you want to Merge group
Using your mouse, mouse over your layer where you had paste your paper at, and right click on your mouse
Next it will pop another option for you,
you want to look for "Merge"--> "merge group".
Tada you have a masked layer.

Next, choose any papers you like, C/P them each over the shapes of your template.

This next step will help you see what I had done to cut the papers out to the shapes of the template, if you need it. If not then you can skip this part :)

Open LKD_IslandFunTS_paper2, Copy and paste it over one of the ovals of the template, next you will want to grab your magic wand tool, click on the rectangle of the template, press Ctrl+Shift+I on your keyboard, this will allow you to invert. Next click the LKD_IslandFunTS_paper2 paper, and hit your delete key once.

*Do these same steps for all the shapes of the template.

Now you should have perfectly cut shapes, layered with your favorite papers.

Next open LKD_IslandFunTS_frame5, re-size to 70%, add drop shadow, and C/P it in the center of the template.
Next open LKD_IslandFunTS_frame3 re-size it to 55%, add drop shadow, and C/P under LKD_IslandFunTS_frame5, and using your move tool stretch out this frame to match it closely to the width of frame5, and tilt the right corner side up , [see my signature for example].

Open LKD_IslandFunTS_flower5 , LKD_IslandFunTS_roped flowers, LKD_IslandFunTS_rocks re-size it to 80%, add drop shadow, and C/P it behind the frames.
Open LKD_IslandFunTS_flowers2 re-size it to 45%, add drop shadow, and C/P it as well behind the top left corner of the frames.
Open LKD_IslandFunTS_grass, re-size it to 40%, add drop shadow, and C/P it on top of the frames, left and right. [[see my signature for example]].
Open LKD_IslandFunTS_LightEffects re-size it to 85%, C/P right on top of the frames layers.
Right at this point you want to add in your tropically tube, or someone laying on the beach pose preferably. Apply your drop shadow. And C/P it in the center of your template over the light effects, that are over your frame layers, [[see my signature for example]].
Open LKD_IslandFunTS_flower6 re-size it to 40%, add drop shadow, and C/P it in the bottom left hand corner left the frames and all little bit over you grass. [[see my signature for example]].
Open LKD_IslandFunTS_surfboard1 re-size it to 40%, add drop shadow, and C/P it in the right side of the frames and all little bit over you grass. [[see my signature for example]].

Open LKD_IslandFunTS_surfboard2 re-size it to 35%, add drop shadow, and C/P it in the right side of the frames next to LKD_IslandFunTS_surfboard1 [[see my signature for example]].
Open LKD_IslandFunTS_cloud1 and LKD_IslandFunTS_cloud2 re-size it to 80%, and C/P it under but over the belly of your beach tube, overlapping your clouds. [[see my signature for example]].
Open LKD_IslandFunTS_sanddollar, LKD_IslandFunTS_seashell1, LKD_IslandFunTS_seashell2, and LKD_IslandFunTS_flowers2, re-size all these elements to 40%. And place them on the sides of the frames but over the clouds, for me I placed a few over LKD_IslandFunTS_flower6 and over the surf boards. [[see my signature for example]].
Now Add your copyrights of your tube and your license.
Add your name.
And your done.

PTU: Seaside Treasures Tutorial

You must have working knowledge of Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 or newer

Open a NEW canvas and size it to 650x650.

Open the KSSTPaper 4, re-size to 650x 650, and C/P it into your canvas.

Head to your layers tab-->Load/Save Mask-->Load Mask from Disc
From there there choose any mask you want or choose the one i used with a circular pattern.
And Click Load

Now you want to Merge group
Using your mouse, mouse over your layer where you had paste your paper at, and right click on your mouse
Next it will pop another option for you, you want to look for "Merge"--> "merge group".
Tada you have a masked layer.

Next open KSSTLife Preserver 1, add your drop shadow, and C/P it on top of your masked layer.

Next open KSSTAnchor 1, add drop shadow, and C/P right on top of KSSTLife Preserver 1 and mirror it , [see my signature for example].

Open KSSTFishing Mesh 1, add drop shadow, and C/P behind the KSSTLife Preserver 1 [[see my signature for example]].

Open KSSTLight House 1, re-size to 60%, and C/P behind and to the right of your KSSTAnchor 1. Using your move-tool adjust the size of the lighthouse, and add drop shadow.

Next open your mermaid tube. You will need a mermaid preferably one that's sitting up and is a close up, and not on its belly. Add your drop shadow and re-size it to your specific likings, and C/P your tube in front of your KSSTLife Preserver 1.

Next open KSSTWooden Frame 1, re-size to 15%, add drop shadow, and duplicate 3x's, C/P into the left side of your tube, and using your move tool carefully rotate the frames [[see my signature for example]].

As an extra touch take smaller sizes of your tube and copy paste them under the frames, like how I have done mine. Choose different parts of the tube that you like, for me I choose the face, and the angle of the face and her eyes.

*** I used a magic wand to help me edit out the excess tube so the picture would fit into the frame without the excess tube parts hanging out that you don't want to see.***

Next open KSSTCurly Ribbon 1, apply a mirror image effect, and add drop shadow, and C/P on the bottom frame.

Open KSSTBubble Cluster 1, add drop shadow, and C/P these bubbles across the tube [[see my signature for example]].

Open KSSTCoconut 1, re-size to 60%, add your drop shadow, and C/P next to the bottom frame [[see my signature for example]].

Open KSSTSand Dollar 1 and KSSTStarfish 1, re-size to 35-38%, add drop shadow, C/P next to your coconut [see my signature for example].

Open KSSTBoat 1, re-size to 60%, add drop shadow, C/P it to cover the half part of your close up mermaid tube.

Open KSSTWooden Seagull 1 re-size it to 45%, add drop shadow, C/P between your bird on top of your boat. [see my signature for example].

Open KSSTDrift Wood 1, re-size to 40%, add your drop shadow, and C/P next to KSSTBoat 1.

Now Add your copyrights of your tube and your license.
Add your name.
And your done.
